My story starts “once upon a time a guy called Torsten had an urge to announce an ambitious target by realizing a website. From a short time after the beginning of this web project I’d began to anticipate the intention of learning to create web sites: “The journey is the reward.” And the reward is’nt to create webpages but unreadable content e.g. pictures with always identic filenames makes me invisible for the crawler and web-bots like GOOGLE, YAHOO and anything else… All things considered these are the essential reasons for all that content you can read here.
The ultimate ambition of every official website is not only to get as many “clicks” as possible but to supply every interested person with as much information as possible. This fact does not necessarily comprise a valuation of its content. In most cases on the World Wide Web the meaning and content are two different things. I hope however, that the results of my efforts will definitely be positive. I would like to fulfil minor accomplishments of art despite the fact that there is most probably no money-making in it.
Is there anyone out there who is taken by my pictures?
What you can see in my pictures here is colour or texture (structures); sometimes a combination of both. The topics of the photos may, for many people, not be apparent. This fact may be unknown to picture-hunters but most web-watchers think alike. All these words are for the other website viewers! A flicker of hope for my efforts is when I receive really legitimate e-mails (the official mail address can be found under “contact”). However, I will continue in my photographic efforts even if it is in “slow motion”. I try to show my ideas in photography by capturing the “smaller” facts of life. Most of the photos can be classed as that of a documentary nature. However, light, shadow and a variety of different angles of focus make them more interesting in my opinion. What do you think?
My actual intention is to reach one specific group of surfers i.e. those who seek to find an idea for a picture. Some visitors e-mails are enough to motivate me to carry on in this way. A German proverb says : “Was lange währt wird endlich gut!” which means, that if one waits long enough then one can reap the fruits of ones endeavours or, in other words, one is rewarded for ones efforts.
Right from the beginning of my “on-line life” it was my intention to write this page in English but, to date, I found it almost impossible. This could have been due to my laziness and most definitely due to my lack of the English language. However, may a little luck pass my way in future and I´ll be able to present this website to you in English. (In the next century we´ll read us here again to check out the validity of this fact ;o)
This little homepage is a presentation of my photos that I seek to show people. In my opinion, no explanation of these photos is necessary. The pick of the bunch may be a single photo or a series of photos that speak for themselves. My sincere wish is that you find a photo that suits your taste.
Now I am all set up to answer your questions bear with my English from now on!
Trusting that you will find pleasure in viewing the “gallery”. Be inquisitive and follow the motto “click every pic”.01_27_2008
